What this site is

HarpSpaceFinder is a small, independent reference database of sewing-machine harp (throat) space and related quilting specs. The editorial policy is one sentence long: every number has a source link, and missing numbers stay missing — we write “not published” instead of guessing, and the “community-measured” column only accepts measurements documented with a photo.

Affiliate disclosure (FTC)

Some outbound links to retailers (such as Amazon or SewingMachinesPlus) are or may become affiliate links: if you click one and buy something, this site may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate, this site earns from qualifying purchases once enrolled.

What affiliate links never affect here:

• Which machines are listed. The database includes dealer-only brands we earn nothing from.
• The numbers. Specs come from linked sources, not from whoever pays better.
• Rankings. Sort orders are mechanical (by dimension, speed, or price band); picker results are a published, deterministic scoring of the same data.

Affiliate relationships are limited to a maximum of two retailer buttons per machine, always marked rel="sponsored".

Corrections, source disputes, and community harp measurements are welcome: hello@harpspacefinder.com.

For a measurement to enter the database we need: machine model, width and height in inches (or mm), how you measured (needle-to-pillar?), and a photo of the ruler/tape in place. We credit contributors by first name unless you ask otherwise.

Who runs it

HarpSpaceFinder is operated as an independent publishing project. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Juki, Brother, Janome, BERNINA, Baby Lock, PFAFF, Husqvarna Viking, Handi Quilter, or The Grace Company. All trademarks belong to their owners and are used for identification only.
